In recent years, Chen Jianguo has made remarkable achievements in the field of Chinese calligraphy in Canada. As a well-known calligrapher at home and abroad, he is committed to communicating with the mainstream society in Canada and promoting the extensive and profound Chinese culture. Many of his works have been presented as gifts by the Chinese Cultural Federation of Canada to a number of politicians, mayors and other celebrities, demonstrating that calligraphy, the representative of Chinese culture, has been recognized by the mainstream society overseas, and his works have won the unanimous praise of dignitaries and celebrities.
Because of the wide spread of his calligraphy works, Mr. Jianguo was invited to be the vice president of the Chinese calligrapher Research Association, the vice president of the Canadian North American Artists Association, the executive vice president of the Canadian North American painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, and the special painter of China Yanhuang Painting Academy.
He is good at making cursive, learning from the style of Jin people, and getting the method of using his pen. He can turn and lift naturally in place, with strong lines, flowing clouds and flowing water, graceful and colorful, and meaningful taste. In Jingyi’s ink, it reveals a classical and elegant charm.
As a matter of fact, Mr. Chen Jianguo’s calligraphy originated from the two kings, so his writing style does not lose the traditional virtue. The style of his calligraphy works is noble, the ink color is surging, the relaxation is proper, and the atmosphere of history is on the paper.
According to the king of Jin, the calligraphy of Jianguo is perfect, which is “the rule of every word, and every word is the master of the final compilation”.

陈建国，字，沛之，近年来在加拿大中文书法领域业绩显著、作为一位海内外知名的书法家、致力于与加拿大主流社会的交流和宣传华夏文化的博大精深。其多幅作品被加拿大中国文化联合会作为礼品赠送给了多位政治家和市长以等名流，彰显了中国文化的代表书法在海外得到主流社会的认可，其作品获得了政要名人的一致的好评。

建国先生因为其书法作品的广泛流传、被邀请就任中国书法家研究协会副主席，加拿大北美艺术家协会副会长，加拿大北美书画研究院常务副院长，中国炎黄画院特聘画师。

他擅长作行草，汲取晋人之风，得其用笔之法，转提自然到位，行笔线条劲挺，行云流水，婉丽多姿，味道隽永。在靖逸舒朗的笔墨中，透露出一种古典文雅的韵味。

其实，陈建国先生的书法源于二王、故笔法不失传统之美德。其书法作品格调高尚，墨色奔腾，张弛得道，历史的大气跃然于纸上、让人一见如故。
