The news that hundreds of unmarked graves have been found in Cowessess First Nation is absolutely tragic, but not surprising. I urge all Canadians to stand with First Nations in this extremely difficult and emotional time.
Horrific discovery of more children’s remains and unmarked graves. Children that were stolen from their families. Ripped out of their communities. Canada must acknowledge the truth. This is genocide. Reconciliation demands not looking away. Reconciliation demands justice.
